How does a custom reach-in closet double its storage?+
By replacing the single rod and shelf with height-tuned zones. Double hanging for shirts and folded pants, a bank of drawers in the center, shoe risers along the floor, and shelving that runs to the ceiling. The same closet opening ends up holding roughly twice as much, and everything stays visible from the door.
Can you add drawers inside a reach-in closet?+
Yes. A drawer tower in the middle of the closet is the most common upgrade, because it lets you retire a bedroom dresser. Drawers run on European full-extension glides with soft-close hardware, so the back of each drawer is reachable even inside a shallow closet.
Do custom reach-in closets work with sliding or bifold doors?+
Yes. The designer measures the door opening and lays out the sections so drawers and pull-outs sit where the doors actually open, not behind a fixed panel. Existing doors can stay, or the closet can be planned for new doors if you are replacing them.
What accessories fit in a reach-in closet?+
Belt and tie racks, jewelry trays, valet rods, shoe shelves, hampers, and pull-down rods for high hanging. Accessories are chosen after the closet is measured, so nothing crowds the opening or blocks the doors. Adjustable shelving lets the layout change as your wardrobe does.
What are reach-in closets built from?+
The same furniture-grade materials as our walk-ins: three-quarter inch and one inch laminated particle board or three-quarter inch plywood, laminated finishes, and European hardware. Twenty-five in-stock colors, with more on request. Every closet carries the lifetime limited transferable warranty on parts and components.
Can a small kids' closet be organized the same way?+
Yes, and it is one of the best uses of a reach-in. Hanging rods set at a child's height, deep shelves for bins, and adjustable sections that move up as the child grows. The closet is designed around what the child actually owns rather than a generic layout.
How long does a reach-in closet installation take?+
Most reach-in closets are installed in a few hours by our own crew, and several closets in one home are usually finished in a single day. From the free in-home design appointment to installation, plan on two to four weeks depending on finish availability.
Do I need to leave the house during installation?+
No. Our crew works around you. A typical install for a single closet takes 4–6 hours; larger projects span one to two days.

Standard parts and components carry a lifetime limited transferable warranty against material and workmanship defects. We replace defective parts at no cost.
