What is a built-in wardrobe and how is it different from a closet?+
A built-in wardrobe is cabinetry fitted against a bedroom wall, with doors, drawers, and hanging inside, used when the room has no closet or the closet is too small. It is built to the wall from floor to ceiling, so it reads as part of the room rather than a freestanding armoire.
Can you build storage into a bedroom with sloped ceilings or dormers?+
Yes. Built-ins are drawn to the actual walls, including sloped attic ceilings and dormer nooks. Low drawers under the slope, wardrobes on the tall wall, and a window seat with storage in the dormer turn the awkward angles into usable space.
Do you make built-in dressers and headboards?+
Yes. A built-in dresser can run the width of a wall with drawers on soft-close full-extension glides, and a headboard unit can include nightstands, shelving, and lighting in one piece. Storage benches at the foot of the bed are another common addition.
Can bedroom built-ins match my existing furniture?+
Yes. Twenty-five laminated colors are in stock, from white and light woodgrains to dark espresso, with more on request. The designer brings samples to the free in-home visit so the built-ins match the bed and nightstands or contrast with them on purpose.
What materials are custom bedroom built-ins made from?+
Furniture-grade laminated particle board or plywood panels, laminated finishes that wipe clean, and European soft-close hardware. The same construction as our closets, with the lifetime limited transferable warranty on parts and components.
Can you add a wardrobe around a window or a radiator?+
Yes. Wardrobes can flank a window with a window seat between them, or bridge over a radiator with a ventilated cover. Because each unit is built to your measurements, the built-ins work around the room's fixed features instead of hiding them.
How long does a bedroom built-in project take?+
Design, build, and installation typically run two to four weeks from the in-home consultation, depending on finish availability, and the install itself is usually finished in a day. Built-ins are made in our Warminster, PA shop and installed by our own crew.
Do I need to leave the house during installation?+
No. Our crew works around you. A typical install for a single closet takes 4–6 hours; larger projects span one to two days.
What's included in the warranty?+
Standard parts and components carry a lifetime limited transferable warranty against material and workmanship defects. We replace defective parts at no cost.
