What can a built-in home office include?+
A desk sized to the wall, drawer banks with file drawers, open bookcases and closed cabinets, printer and supply storage, and cable management routed through the cabinetry. Murphy bed integrations turn a guest room into a full-time office that still sleeps visitors.
Can a home office be built into a guest room or a closet?+
Yes. A desk with drawers fits inside a standard closet opening, and a Murphy bed with flanking cabinets lets a spare bedroom work as an office most of the year. Because the built-ins are designed to your walls, they look like part of the house rather than furniture placed in a room.
How do you handle cables and chargers in a built-in desk?+
Grommets in the desktop, a cable channel behind the drawers, and a cabinet section for the power strip and router keep cords off the floor. Outlets and USB ports can be built into the desk or the upper cabinets during the design.
Can the built-ins match my existing trim and furniture?+
Yes. Twenty-five laminated colors are in stock, from bright white to dark woodgrains, with more on request. The designer brings samples to the free in-home visit so the office can match the trim, the floor, or contrast with them on purpose.
What materials are home office built-ins made from?+
Three-quarter inch plywood or three-quarter and one inch laminated particle board with laminated finishes, and European soft-close hardware on drawers and doors. The same furniture-grade construction and lifetime limited transferable warranty as our closets.
Do you build desks for two people?+
Yes. A long run of desktop with two drawer banks, or an L-shaped layout in a corner, gives two workstations with shared storage in between. Shelving above keeps each side's books and files separate.
How long does a home office built-in take?+
Design, build, and installation typically run two to four weeks from the in-home consultation, and the install itself is usually finished in a day. Cabinets are built in our Warminster, PA shop and installed by our own crew.
Do I need to leave the house during installation?+
No. Our crew works around you. A typical install for a single closet takes 4–6 hours; larger projects span one to two days.
What's included in the warranty?+
Standard parts and components carry a lifetime limited transferable warranty against material and workmanship defects. We replace defective parts at no cost.
